I have finished cycle 1 of my new round of chemo. It went really well so I can't complain! Just a little more tired than usual. But, overall, not too bad. This makes me happy! Although sometimes I wonder if my body is just used to all the drugs so it seems pretty normal to me by now. Who knows! I'm just thankful to have hair and not be throwing up! Woo hoo!!
I saw Dr. Fabian today. My platelet count is a bit low, but that is expected with the chemo I am taking. We'll just keep an eye on it. My white blood counts are steady since I take a shot to counteract the chemo. So, overall a good appointment. She did schedule another CT scan in about four weeks. Start your thoughts and prayers now.... we really want a clear CT scan. It would definitely be an answered prayer for us!!
Last but not least.... PLEASE sign up now for the Race for the Cure on August 10th. We only have 118 people so far and we are really hoping to beat our total from last year which was 239. Invite your friends, neighbors, co-workers to join you. It is a really fun event!! You can signup at http://www.active.com/donate/KC2008/seaboard. Just select Register for this Event. Then, choose Team Registration. In the drop down make sure you choose "Debra's Circle of Friends" as the team name. If you are a Seaboard employee contact myself or Ann Roth for the coupon code so that you aren't asked to pay online. THANK YOU!!! Casey, Conor, Brigham and I would love to see you all there!! If you cannot attend, but still want to help, you can join our team as a "Sleep-In" participant. You'll see the option on the registration site. YOU MUST SIGN UP BEFORE JULY 28th!
I'll update you all again after my next CT scan in about 4 weeks. Keep those thoughts and prayers coming my way!! I appreciate it more than you know!
