Things have been so crazy this past week I haven't had time to post our latest test results. We got great news once again. The smallest two tumors are still microscopic at 2mm and 3mm. The largest shrank by 50% and is now 2mm also. The doctor was very pleased. The current regimen of meds is working and she wants me to stay on them indefinitely.
I wasn't quite expecting that I would continue all of them. But, she wants to ensure the cancer cells are inactive and dead before we stop anything. Since my PET scans are negative and always have been, there is no way, other than surgery, to be sure. So, we'll just continue the meds at this time. Not quite what I wanted to hear, but if they are working I won't argue!!
I'll go back in about 7 weeks for more tests.
I also met with a Cardiologist regarding my heart. He said everything looks fine at this time but he'll monitor me every three months just to be on the safe side. There are a couple of meds I can take if things start decreasing. But, at this time he says my heart looks strong.
