Conor's 11th Birthday

Conor turned 11 on November 4th! It is hard to believe we have an 11 year old!! Where does the time go? You know your kid is old when all they want for their birthday is a cell phone!! We finally gave in and got him one. I figure Casey and I did pretty well holding out. I would say more than half of the 5th graders have them. I must admit it has come in handy several times already! So, it may just turn out to be just as much for me as him. Conor has already become an expert "texter". The first month he had over 500 texts. Of course most of them are "hey" "whats up". Short and sweet!

Conor decided this year to do Paintball for his birthday party. So, Casey and I took him and 7 friends to play at the caves. They had a great time!! It took a few games for them all to get the hang of it. They weren't quite as aggressive as you would think. I think they were all a little afraid of getting shot with the paintballs. The couple that did though said it didn't hurt for long. A couple got it right between the eyes, thank goodness for the face masks and goggles!! Conor said it was the best birthday ever, so I think they liked it! Below are some pics from his party at home and from Jaeger's Paintball.

Casey and I made all the boys "target" shirts at Conor's request. We gave everyone a nickname. Here is Jake (our neighbor) aka "Hollywood", Kendall "Dasher", and Conor "Rocky". The boys thought the shirts were really cool... and it gave everyone a target to aim for. Although I think out of the 7 games they played only about 6 hits actually occurred!
